Christmas Holidays In A Flash

Well, it's been a crazy holiday season! Where can I start? We ended up having the warmest Christmas of the season (once again, it was really warm last year too). But I must say, that I almost felt like grabbing my gardening shoes and gloves and heading out to the garden, because that's how warm it was.
The sun was beautiful, and we played outside a lot. It was hard to believe that snow was going to be coming in a couple of days (and lots of it!).

So here's how our holiday went down...

It started with our usual town Moonlight Madness. The boys had free pictures with Santa Claus taken in town. Here's Ben's Picture...

Here's Oliver's...

I remember thinking before making this blog, that I didn't really get much done this Christmas, and then I started posting these pictures and well...

The boys enjoyed lots of fun activities at school, here's some cute pictures taken of them by their fabulous Primary teacher Mrs. Wright!

 Ben cute as a button!

The ever smiling and thoughtful Oliver...

They even enjoyed a turkey dinner at school. Here's Ben enjoying his meal!

The boys had a Christmas Concert at school...

Oliver had to have his bow tie like Doctor Who, and Ben was just happy in a fun Christmas shirt and jeans...

We made Christmas cards for Ben and Ollie's friends and classmates....

 Lots of them!
The boys had fun.... (and I was really tired afterwards, and I hate cleaning up glitter!...It was all worth it though)

We made more gingerbread play dough (we made some for their friends too!)...

Lots of it, which came in handy with days of boredom...

We wrote letters to Santa...

And discovered, that both boys wanted Woody Dolls! What?!!!!! (We promptly called Nannie, who did her best to save the day, but thanks to Toys R Us picking the wrong toy out of the wrong bin, the Woody toy didn't arrive on time).

The boys then had their first pajama day at school..Oliver had to cheer up Ben a bit...

 Hey what are Brothers for?

We got the most awesome Christmas presents on the planet when the boys got home from school!

And then that's it! School was done for the 2 week holiday break...Now What?...

Make ginger bread houses and gingerbread cookies that's what!

Then you make some more, and then host a gingerbread party with close friends (which we'll get to later)...

O.K. here's later...turned out great! It was a successful gingerbread making year with friends!

Here are the other contestants gingerbread houses! Great job Ambre & Lauren!

And play some music in between...

I'm not sure if Ben was exactly behaving throughout the whole holiday season like the music sheet says (lol!)...

And don't forget to practice your writing and your words while you're not in school...

Add some nutcrackers in between...

More crafts...

Of course you can eat a cookie off the gingerbread house boys!

Maya holding the coffee station hostage until she gets what she wants (she knows where to find Daddy)...

 Make more crafts for gifts!

Alright it's the big day tomorrow! Get everything ready for Santa!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Yeah the big Day! Merry Christmas!

 Oliver got his Buzz hooray!

Ben got his Buzz too! Double Hooray!

Hand made Dinosaur felt mats from me!

We got a turkey as a gift for Christmas, um honey how much does it weigh? Let's find out he says. He's smart! I guess that's why I love him so...

I made him a Darth Vader mug (don't worry Disney, I only made one for him!). I also made him a Doctor Who one which he wouldn't let me take a picture of...(he said he wasn't presentable for the camera - right...)

 Turkey's done! Christmas day turkey!

My Birthday December 27th... it snowed! (And we will not be discussing my age!)

The boys spelt their first words and made me great drawings!

Of course we had cake! Thanks to my lovely Michael for getting this for me!

Did I mention that we also had a get together at our house the day after?
There's no pictures sorry but it was fun!

Woodys finally arrived! On December 30th!

More snow!

And boy was I ever happy that the New Year came and the Christmas season came to an end! Happy New Year everyone! I'm going to take a little rest now! And a BIG THANK YOU to all of our friends and family who made it so special this year.
